+ About

Jori is founder and facilitator of 186 Carpenter, a storefront and office space that presents arts programming and current events. Until recently, she directed the Media Lab at Community MusicWorks, where she is now a board member. Jori is now the Assistant Director of Academic Programs at the Swearer Center for Public Service at Brown University. Jori is also an artist-educator at the RISD Museum, a co-coordinator of (the currently on hiatus) Providence Provision, and advisor to Providence HONK, a celebratory activist music festival she formerly helped coordinate. She was briefly trending on YouTube in 2011 for her video “Joey Quits.” A printmaker, painter, and photographer, Jori also plays bass drum in the What Cheer? Brigade, a 20+ member brass/punk band.
